This story focuses on the reconstruction of the city after the devastations of World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the war, Nijmegen was known as &#8220;The Tower City,&#8221; with its impressive city skyline and towers. However, after the destruction that the city&#8217;s center endured, Nijmegen&#8217;s urban blueprint was almost blank. The reconstruction began. Twenty years later, the final stone was laid\/ the last roof tile placed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The City Hall Tower<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video
