One of the most enjoyable things for me to create is documentary animation. Capturing life stories and different perspectives on the world is incredibly valuable to me. I love bringing these stories to life visually and placing them side by side.

A documentary animation can serve different purposes: honoring someone, raising societal awareness, or simply providing entertainment.

Dick Remelink
This animation tells the story of my grandfather, saxophonist Dick Remelink, and his musical career. He used to tour the world with the band Ekseption, a well-known name in the music world.
To learn more about his life and work, I spoke with my family and with Dick himself. The result is a lighthearted animation that showcases my grandfather’s love and passion for his craft, and the impact music has had on his life.
